I focus on racism in the music industry on this episode. Just like in film, the practice of racism is alive and well in the music industry.
Black children’s performance in schools across this country is a reflection of hip hop music, which values partying, drugs, money, materialism, and sex. The corporations (Whites) that distribute this shit are capable of understanding the harm that destructive lyrics and imagery from the music causes. The fact is that these people don’t care because you are and always will be “other” to them.
